this one never happened due to the fact that, again, i intruded on another poster designer’s territory (unknowingly, of course). the promoter ordered the poster, i designed it and then i was informed (rather rudely, i might add) by the mars volta’s usual artist that i was to fuck off. ahhhhh politics. all was resolved and we’re friends now, but i think the promoter got in some hot water over this one. this was the last poster i was asked to do for live nation. below is how it would’ve looked had i actually produced it. i’ve also included an early concept sketch that i kind of liked (below the poster).
